The present diploma thesis discusses the users’ preferences and attitudesregarding the online peer-to-peer accommodation platform, the Airbnb.Within the framework of this study, an online questionnaire was created, while the participants were recent users of the Airbnb. The respondentswere asked to choose lodging among a number of differentiated optionswith certain attributes and levels. Moreover, they were asked to answer tosome questions regarding their opinion about several characteristics of theAirbnb platform. We used a Choice-Based Conjoint Analysis experiment, while a Latent Class model was used to analyze the data. The softwarewhich was used for the above mentioned analysis was the SawtoothSoftware. In addition, we utilized the appropriate statistical analysis byusing the SPSS software, in order to evaluate the relationships between 2or more variables that were used in this study. Particularly, we utilizedPearson Chi-Square tests as well as the Multivariate Analysis Of Variance(MANOVA). Finally, the theoretical approach of all the applied methods wasdeemed necessary.
