Tourism is one of the most important sectors of the Greek economy but also of the world economy. Over the years, it has evolved in accordance with people's preferences and needs. The current trend for discovery of new tourist destinations is imperative. The data of both international and European tourism are changing rapidly. The transition to the euro, the economic downturn, changes in the consumer behavior of tourists, the emergence of new destinations and markets, new forms of tourism being developed, new technologies are some of those that are happening and have changed and will continue to change the data with which tourism is developing to this day.
