The thesis is a bibliographic review, based on Greek and international literature, of the management principles in Greek small and medium-sized enterprises. Small and medium-sized enterprises are one of the main pillars of the Greek economy because of the number of employees in them is significant. Especially in Greece it is estimated that the number of small and medium-sized enterprises is 99% of all enterprises. However, the lack of strategic planning and management in most of the Greek small and medium-sized enterprises is important, as a result of which they can not meet the demands of the modern market. Incorrect organization of company operations based on management principles and inadequate coping with the problems that arise makes it difficult to adapt to business and their viability. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the concept of management as well as individual elements that are very important for the organization and operation of a small and medium-sized enterprise. In conclusion, a modern model of administration and organization, the segmentation and the characteristics of the management of a small and medium-sized enterprise are analyzed.
