Summary

This thesis is titled "Finding and Assessing the Factors Affecting the ProductionSector of a Public / Private Sector Organization / Firm in the midst of a volatilegeopolitical environment".There is a methodological approach and documentation of the concepts: the approach of the tools for monitoring the factors affecting the production of an organization and, secondly, the geopolitical environment. Finally, we placed them on a broader level of strategy, in order to evaluate the data for the decision-making process from the enterprise or organization manager, concerning their expansion of their production activities in environments with specific geopolitical characteristics.For the research, firstly, we interviewed five businessmen (high-ranking employees or owners) operating in different countries, and then we placed the derived variables in a closed-ended questionnaire that was completed by other businessmen or employees in order to cross-check the views. Finally, we came up with a quantitative model that describes the relationships between the two factors we have distinguished (the use of strategic tools and the characteristics of the geopolitical environment) with the final decision of the company to expand and operate in these countries.The main finding of the survey is that mainly economic and political factors affect the activity of businesses and organizations.
