Summary

Nowadays Cryptocurrencies are a rapidly evolving eld that attracts the inter-est of many people. These are virtual coins that use some form of encryption. The most famous of these coins is 'Bitcoin'. Cryptocurrencies can make asignicant contribution to the role of the Supply Chain. The Supply Chain (SC) is, in principle, dened as an integrated network orvalue creation system, including closely associated business units, producers, traders, retailers and consumers. SC therefore includes the ow of materialsfrom the raw material supplier or the producer of the nal product to thenal consumer alongside the ow of information between the chain members.Using Cryptocurrencies, any diculties in its operation can be eliminated, asin the form of encryption - digital form of money, the payment system at eachstage can be implemented much more easily and selessly.Smart contracts are also primarily used in the Cryptographic Networks. Smartcontracts use cryptographic code to impose a relationship between two par-ties. These parties should not be individuals or institutions. The relationshipimposed by a smart contract can be between an application and a network. In fact, smart contracts are self-control commands that can be programmedto be triggered under specic circumstances. This function is a major objectof study as it enters the market and can change it.In this thesis, the contribution of Cryptocurrencies in the Supply Chain andin particular its function on it is analyzed. The role of Smart Contracts inthe Cryptographic Network will also be studied.
