In this diploma thesis is presented the design, programming and processing of pieces of increasing difficulty in a modern digital guided lathe (CNC), and the basic principles of hygiene and safety that a machine shop must follow. The programming was done using the ISO G programming code as well as using the code of the laboratory turning machine (Sinumerik 840D) and the CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) was also used. The construction of the pieces was carried out at DMX CTX310 ecoline turning center while their design and digital guidance were done through the CAD / CAM program of the NX12 of SIEMENS.
