The companies Fraport Regional Airports of Greece Α SA and Fraport Regional Airports of Greece B SA are active in the upgrade, maintenance, management and general operation of fourteen regional airports in Greece, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant Concession Agreements, signed at the end of 2015 between the above Companies, shareholders of the Contracting Consortium, the Fund Property of the Greek State SA and the Greek State, and which last 40 years.In the period before the Concession Agreements were signed, a series of reactions took place and countless rounds of discussions were opened on the advantages and disadvantages of the agreement.Today, four years after this agreement, we now have in our hands officially published data on the progress of the airports included in the contract, which we can use to examine the extent to which the goals set from the beginning have finally been realized. with the quality of customer service, the international competitiveness of airports, the optimization of their operational processes, the modernization and upgrading of their infrastructure.The purpose of this study is to investigate whether and to what extent the terms of the contract have been implemented, i.e. to examine how the 14 regional airports are managed and operated by FRAPORT Greece.To this end, the evolution of passenger traffic at these airports will be studied, the upgrade projects carried out will be recorded, the environmental management of the airports will be investigated and the financial data that have emerged so far will be presented and evaluated. Finally, all the strengths and weaknesses of the contract as well as the opportunities and threats that characterize it will be analyzed through SWOT analysis.
