The term e-government refers to the introduction of information and computer technologies in public administration and the new administrative practices introduced by the above technologies for the purpose of modernizing the state and the public administration so that the latter making it more efficient and efficient, ensuring the satisfaction of the needs of society as a whole and promoting active citizenship. The aim of this paper is to first introduce the concepts and content of eGovernment and then to present the current situation as well as to present statistical data on the current situation at international and national level. Next, a presentation of the existing situation at the national level and of the projects that have been completed or started in recent years, such as the Single Digital Portal, the Taxis, the Single Demographics and Registry, the Transylvania, OpenGov and OpenData, the Human Resources Register of the Greek The Public Procurement Register, the Central Public Procurement Register, Ergani, the Helios system, the electronic prescription, SYZEFXIS, The study will focus on assessing the country's assessment of both the European digital economy and society (DESI) and the Digital Agenda for Europe (EDPR) progress report, as well as at the international level with the eGovernment development indicator EGDI) and finally a SWOT analysis is performed, which arrives to the final suggestions - implementation guide.
