The need for independence from fossil fuels, as well as the development of more environmentally friendly ways of driving, has led to the electrification of transports. In this thesis, it will be examined through Life Cycle Analysis whether it is a more environmentally friendly solution than the existing ones, with emphasis on greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the existence and readiness of the appropriate infrastructure for its mass adoption will be investigated. Furthermore, the main frameworks to be considered in a Life Cycle Analysis for electric cars will be clarified, and a comparison will be made between electric vehicles and conventional cars with internal combustion engines, in the aspect of the Life Cycle Analysis.
