Summary

Companies represent a vital stake for the countries’ economy. There are several factors impacting their viability therefore it is necessary to predict their possible failure. For the last decades, several researches have been held in order to develop methods capable to predict their future development and the possibility of them being led to bankruptcy. However further studies take place, since new methods of administrative and computer science are brought into light.The present thesis has targeted the prediction of failure for various small and medium sized European companies using the multiple criteria method, UTADIS.
