Summary

The subject of the present thesis is Human Resource Management and the importance of training a company’s employees in the evolution of its products and their quality. In more detail, it focuses on the positive consequences of the proper use of Human Resource Management and its relationship to their training and the ways that the latter is done. The term Human Resource Management is used to express a short-term approach to issues concerning a company’s staff. It focuses on the issues related to the lower or middle ranks of a company’s staff on a short-term basis and more particularly the recruitment and selection of staff, their training, evaluation and their remuneration. The importance of training and developing the staff of a company is done to fulfill its needs and goals in order for it to have the best results. In addition, in the context of this thesis, a survey was conducted through a questionnaire in companies followed by a statistical analysis of its results. The questionnaire includes the variety of questions based on which different answers and views of employees can be collected about how important their training is and what are its benefits for both themselves and their company. Finally, in this paper, after combining a detailed presentation of the terms of Human Resource Management and training, with the analysis of the results of the questionnaires, the necessity and the connection between the two terms becomes apparent.
