Summary

The rapid development of technology in recent years and the demands of the digital revolution have led to digitization in all areas and especially in the field of Primary Education, with which the present work deals. Digitization in the narrow sense means the conversion of analog material to digital, while in its broadest sense it means the use of new technologies in order to achieve changes and improvements in every field. Greece's position in terms of digital maturity is at a low level compared to other countries. However, in recent years, coordinated efforts are being made by the Ministry of Digital Governance, in order to fill the gaps and at the same time lead our country to better positions. In this context, information systems and other digital applications have been developed to better administer education and make educational content available to stakeholders. The recent Coronavirus pandemic and the need to implement distance education have further accelerated these processes and provided valuable experiences for the digital transformation of education.
