Subject of this thesis is the heating and cooling load calculation of a gable roof greenhouse. This calculation of thermal loads will be performed in a computer application, which is to be developed. The application is going to use temperature, solar radiation and wind speed input and thus calculate heat loss and gain, thermal conductivity of the greenhouse covering material and the heating and cooling load of the greenhouse. In addition, apart from inferring energy balance, this thesis also aims to assess the covering materials of greenhouses in order to find the most efficient one.
