The purpose of the dissertation is the financial wound but also the wider financial disturbancescausedby the pandemic in the shipping sector. The above analysis was performed in ten(10) shippingcompanies operating both in Greece and in the international maritime space. The financial situationaswell as the category of ships occupied by each company played a decisive role in the selectionoftheshipping companies in order to make effective comparisons between them. Therefore, companieswithLPG vessels, passenger transport, dry bulk carriers and finally container transport wereselected. Thefinancial analysis was based on the financial ratios that emerged from the financial statementsoftheshipping companies for the last five years, with the aim of a reliable study of the economic courseuntilthe completion of the strict restrictive measures. Finally, with the method of horizontal analysis, thetime comparison of the companies in terms of working capital was carried out, always inrelationtotheprevious year, but also between the companies that are active in similar types of ships.
