The purpose of this thesis is the financial analysis of the airline industry in Europe from 2015 to 2019. For the analysis of the sector a sample of eleven (11) full-service carriers will be used. The analysis will be conducted by using proper financial indicators. The goal is a reliable study and analysis of the financial state of the sector, during the aforementioned period. Furthermore, based on the airlines performance on specific indicators the PROMETHEE II multi-criteria analysis method will be used in order to rank them. Lastly, an in-depth analysis of the final results and conclusions will take place.
