The purpose of this thesis is the financial analysis of the companies of the coastal shipping sector during the years 2016 to 2020. The study of the sector is carried out by analyzing a sample consisting of five companies active in the Greek area and the Adriatic Sea. The analysis is based on the financial statements of these companies and specific indexes are used to ascertain the course of the examined companies and the course of industry. The conclusions that will emerge from the analysis concern the sustainability of each business and the sector in general as well as its contribution to the Greek economy.
