Summary

The purpose of this thesis is the design of a 3D model of a prosthetic leg, while using honeycomb structure geometry, on NX Siemens CAD software, and printing the same model via 3D printing. At first there is a reference in the history of prosthetics and the important individuals who helped develop this technology throughout time. Later on, there is a reference in the history of honeycomb structures, its various fields of application up until the modern era and its numerous benefits. The design, function, and mobility, based on the design of the prosthetic leg is analyzed. Finally, the process of printing the prosthetic leg using a 3D printer is presented.
