This project, introduces us to the complex "world" of Mechatronics, giving us information on what Mechatronics is, what it is about, what it is made of, and where we encounter it in our daily lives.First of all, we will talk generally about the scientific field of mechatronics. In particular, we will mention its definition, how it all started, its basic characteristics and the necessity of its usage.Then, the sensors and actuators will be presented with their definitions but also with their various applications. Their main characteristics will be attributed and their various types will be recorded with the use of examples.Reference will also be made to the direct and inverse phenomenon of piezoelectricity with its functions and applications.Then, a historical review of pneumatic systems will be made, and the basic elements of pneumatic systems will be mentioned as well as their advantages-disadvantages.Finally, various examples and applications of Mechatronics in the present will be presented as well as ways in which we could "harness" it to make our lives easier in the future.
