Summary

This thesis was prepared during the academic year 2022-2023. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the porosity in a geological structure created through laser engraving. More specifically, chapter 1 presents introductory topics. The connection of laser uses and its offers to an accurate way of transferring digital porous models to physical samples is demonstrated. In chapter 2 a complete historical review of the operating principles of the laser and the types that have been invented throughout time is carried out. An importance reference is also made to the equipment machines used in this diploma. In chapter 3 there is a thorough training on the laser machine and the systems that are included so that the user becomes familiar with its operation. Chapter 4 focuses on the design and implementation of the experiment for the results of the geological structure, while an in-depth look at the design methodology of the geological structures is made. In the last chapter we will present the conclusions obtained from the results of the engraving and the experimental process of the pores.
