It is a fact that workplace bullying is a global social phenomenon, which affects both the employees themselves and the employers. In the modern industrialized and internationalized labor market, despite the removal of social barriers, exclusions and discrimination, the phenomenon of aggressive behavior on the part of male workers against female colleagues is strongly observed, which takes various forms and negatively affects both the working conditions of the female gender from their male colleagues, as well as the suitability, effectiveness and efficiency of women in the male-dominated labor market.Given the above, this master thesis deals with the phenomenon of workplace harassment experienced by women workers, as the most common victims, within their work context, as well as the ways of legal defense and protection of the weaker sex that is the recipient of this behavior by the European institutions. The analysis uses primary official statistical data from EU and Greek agencies, as well as secondary data from an analytical review analysis of international and national literature (state of the art).Regarding the institutional framework, an extensive reference and analysis is made to all European directives and Greek legislation. At the same time, a full reference is made to all movements, initiatives and agencies in the EU and Greece regarding gender equality at work. This thesis provides the impetus for future research, for the analysis and treatment of this global phenomenon, called "work bullying of women" in all its forms and dimensions.
