Summary

The thesis investigates the multifaceted concept of quality in higher education at both international and national levels, considering the emphasis on upholding and implementing quality standards and accrediting undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The objective of the thesis is to explore the concept of quality and its correlation with curricula, teaching effectiveness, research, student services, and infrastructure. Additionally, this study aims to compare global practices with local approaches and highlight evaluation techniques.The thesis is structured into four sections: defining quality in education systems and subsystems, quality strategies and practices in higher education, and their comparative analysis. The study concludes with a discussion and recommendations.
