The business concept "Pick your own" farms, incorporates an agritourism venture, inviting customers to participate directly in the harvesting of the fresh products. These farms offer an interactive opportunity to pick products from orchards and fields, promoting the connection between people, their food sources and the natural environment. This master thesis explores the sustainability of the Pick-your-own- Cretan Farm model in Greece, and in particular in the Chania region of Crete.Treating the farm structure as a modern business, the thesis delves into economic analysis, marketing strategies and a holistic business plan,addressing a gap in the Greek agricultural sector. Based on qualitative methodology and international case studies, the research aims to equip the domestic agricultural sector with tools to enhance income generation and bridge the gap between consumers and nature.
